3rd Grade Students will
- be able to learn about forms and armatures when they create a mask of their face using foil and plaster strips.
- be able to paint a self-portrait on the outside.
- be able to create an environment on the inside of the mask of an imaginary place, dream, thought or favorite place.
- be able to write a reflection about their imaginary idea that they created inside their mask and discuss
how their visual images represents their idea (story).

on themes, symbols, and event understand and use the elements and principles of art (line, color,
texture, shape) in order to communicate their ideas

5th grade Students will:
- be able to identify places stained glass windows are found and their purpose.
- be able to create their own stained glass window using a ruler and geometric patterns.
- be able to reflect on their favorite and most difficult part of this project through a self-evaluation survey provided
by the teacher.

- be able to identify surrealistic art after being introduced to the following artists Salvidor Dali, Kay Sage, and Joan
Miro.
- be able to create a surrealistic colored pencil drawing by choosing a surrealistic song title as an inspiration. (ex.
Time in a Bottle, End of the Road)

Project: Mixed Media Collage
Grade: 9th-12th
School: Roger's High School, Toledo, Ohio
Class: Color Design
Objectives:
- Students will be able to demonstrate composition, line quality, and values in their still life sketch within their collage
project.
- Students will create a mixed media collage from materials provided by both the teacher and at least 3 found materials
from the student that has a personal connection to them.
Background Information: I presented this Romare Bearden color print example to the student's because
the Toledo Museum of Art had one in their collection. It was my hope that they would visit it at the museum.
