Henri Matisse
Paper cut-out project

The students learned about the artist Henri Matisse and looked at some examples of his works: Icarus,
Two Dancers, Destiny.

The students will cut out a figure in motion (favorite activity) and patterns, using
3 colors.

The students will then arrange the cut paper onto a large black paper before they permanently
glue them down.
The Hidden Chameleon

The students will learn about neutral colors by comparing the animals' natural
colors to the colors they are painted by the chameleon.

The students will create a drawing on their choice of colored paper using only colors
within that color family.
